ClixTrac is a free banner and link tracking service that allows you to keep track of how many times your advertisements and links are being viewed and clicked. This unique service can be used to track the ads that you place on your own website or ads that you place on other websites. You can track image ads and text ads to see the number of impressions and clicks, the click-through rate percentage, the clicker's IP address, and the referral page that the click originated from. You can also track sales conversions to see which one of your ads is driving the most sales.
Besides banner ad tracking and text ad tracking, ClixTrac also provides a basic URL tracking service which will allow you to track the clicks on URLs that you set up. This is a great tool when you're doing affiliate marketing or have a long URL that you'd like to shorten and make look a little better.

As you can see, it's much shorter and neater. Which one do you think would look better posted somewhere on the web? Which one do you think a prospect would prefer to see and would be most likely to either click, type or copy and paste into their web browser? The shorter one, of course! Both lead them to the same place, yet the short one is also helping you track how many people are using it and where they are coming from.
Plus, it masks your affiliate URL to help protect your potential earnings, because the prospect has no other way to reach the actual landing page to see the offer you're promoting without using your special ClixTrac URL itself. This prevents them from removing your affiliate ID or going directly to the product's main website domain, possibly bypassing your promotional efforts at your expense.
