The COMSOL Multiphysics package allows you to model almost all physical processes that are described by partial differential equations. Download comsol 5.3a. The solution of any problem is based on the numerical solution of partial differential equations by the finite element method. The program contains various solvers that can quickly cope with even the most complex tasks, and the simple structure of the application provides simplicity and flexibility of use. The range of tasks that are amenable to modeling in the program is extremely wide. The set of special modules in the program covers almost all spheres of applications of partial differential equations.COMSOL Multiphysics (Femlab) – a modeling package that solves systems of nonlinear partial differential equations by the finite element method in one, two and three dimensions.

SS Polizei Division, 4th Panzergrenadier Division of the Waffen-SS. Mainly used as a rear guard and reserve formation, the Polizei Division was historically known as being undertrained and lacking in skilled combat tactics. The division consisted of four police regiments composed of Orpo personnel and was typically used to rotate police members into a military situation, so as not to lose police personnel to the general draft of the Wehrmacht or to the full SS divisions of the regular Waffen-SS
  1. In February 1941 Mauser changed from the 42 code to byf, with two digit ' 41' dates are representative of the Luger contract production accepted by the German military in 1941. There is some serial number over lap between the 41-42 code and the 41-byf code and it appears in the 'n' block.

Luger Serial Number Identification

A friend of mine from work recently brought in a very nice byf 41 P-08.
This is a complete rig with a black leather holster (with tool), completely matching pistol, and two magazines (one aluminum that matches) the second aluminum and Bakelite with out any numbers. The pistol is in great shape, completely blued and maintaining most of the original finish.
I don't know much about Lugers so I thought I'd post some photos and questions:
First the Holster, There aren't any waffenamt marks on it, rather on the inside of the flap and on the back right corner (where it normally shows 'P-08' it has what appears to be an 'SSL' or just 'SS' stamp followed by the number '580'. Also stamped inside the flap is the date '6.41' and what appears to be a manufactures mark of which I can make out 'Heinrich ???roan BERLINSW68' I was wondering if this was a police holster rather than military due to the lack of military proof marks?
With respect to the pistol, everything appears correct including the double 655 waffenamts (note the second appears to be double struck) except for the grips, these are smooth wood grips rather than the black Bakelite or wooden checkered that I normally see. I didn't pop the grips to see if they are numbered but I can get another look at it this week. Also, I recall this having a scripted 'u' under the S/N on the front of the frame but I'll also have to double check that as well.
Thanks in advance, any information that you could provide about the holster and pistol would be very helpful.
Kindest Regards,
Jim
